ABOUT TREVIN
HOT, BOLD AND RIGHT NOW.
Those are traits you want in your coffee. And also in your cinematographer. Speaking of cinematographers:
Trevin Spencer may have started his cinematography career shooting snowboarding and skiing films, but he has the experience and talent to handle big business. Backflips and deep powder have been replaced by actors and brands. Trevin still loves it all. During the past fifteen years, Trevin has shot professional broadcast advertising spots, taken award-winning photographs, been a part of award-winning short film projects, and currently is working on an independent feature film.
Trevin has won Best Cinematography for two short films, Escaping Christmas (2017 Rise Up Film Festival) and Update in Progress (2018 Spokane 50 Hour Slam). He was the Director of Photography on Last Honesty (2016) and Two Angels in a Boat (2017), both won Audience Choice and Judges Choice at the Klink’s Film Festival. Trevin is no stranger to laurels decorating his film posters as both a Director of Photography and Editor.
The first music video Trevin ever shot and edited was featured on the TV show Ellen. When it comes to an online presence, or “going viral” as the kids might say, Trevin has done it! His videos about a German Shepherd eating like a person are approaching 5 million views on YouTube. He also was featured nationally on CNN about one of his German Shepherd videos. He has travelled internationally, photographing beautiful locations, including The Death Road in Bolivia, extreme skiing in Canada, cold urban buildings in Moscow, Russia, the deserted landscape of the Utah Salt Flats and bass fishing in Northern Idaho. Coming in from the outside, Trevin has shot fashion and products for River Park Square Shopping Center, beautiful urban settings for Visit Spokane, bright airy real estate photography for Keller Williams, and tasty food photography for numerous casinos and restaurants. Trevin has also worked nationally for HBO, Bank Of America and Lions International.
When not behind the lens, Trevin has been furiously designing print and digital advertisements, including everything from newspaper ads, billboards, iPhone apps, full print, and digital conceptual campaigns. He has racked up dozens of American Ad Federation Addys.
Trevin makes his home in beautiful Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington, where he takes advantage of the natural landscape and outdoor recreation. Trevin Spencer has worked professionally in Spokane, Seattle, Boise and Portland. He is an avid skier, rock climber, wake surfer, and cyclist. And yes, he loves a good cup of hot coffee and would love to work with you. Send him an email or give him a call. He would love to collaborate with you or just talk about the upcoming ski season.
“I’ve worked on several projects with Trevin over the past few years, from commercials to short films. His blend of expert camera work and willing attitude make him one of the easiest cinematographers and editors to work with. His work is always solid, professional, and creative, and his attitude is always collaborative, joyful, and hard-working. It also helps that he has good quality gear and if he doesn’t own, knows where to get it. He’s always my first choice!”

“I’ve worked with dozens of creative people over the years, and Trevin Spencer is a rarity: he’s an ideal combination of talent, dedication and collaboration. He knows his craft, and he knows how to push for the best product. He takes the time to do the work right, not settling for “good enough.” And he does it all with openness and positivity. Make him part of your next project. You won’t regret it for a second.”
